It has been said that Self-realization is the prerequisite for God-realization. In pondering this, it brings to mind the self-exploration and surrender to the divine mystery, which is part of the human journey toward this goal. Western astrology is a means to understand our relationship to and ourselves our greater environment, the galaxy, in which we reside. Ones natal chart is a map into the mystery of our own unique energy patterns, our star map for our souls evolution within this lifetime. If we equate it to being dealt a hand in a card game, we can see the variable gifts and talents, the predispositions and opportunities for learning which are all in the chart. Our response to those challenges and opportunities are widely varied, creating many outcomes. The gift in knowing ones self through understanding the natal chart is a pathway toward that self realization process.

Each sign of the zodiac, ruled by a planet, has a resonance pattern, an archetypal energy which is a part of who we are. These energies are part of our psychological template as humans in this solar system. On the day I was born the Sun, from the perspective of the earth, was in the sign of Virgo. I say "I am a Virgo" because of this. Yet, my natal chart has a dash of Aries, large doses of Scorpio, add a bit of Libra for balance and some Leo to shine. These blend of these energies are the windows which help me to look into my own psyche and learn about my innate nature. I look for what is the highest nature of each sign, knowing that I am capable of that greatness, it is why I chose to be born on September 18th of 1959 at 11:16am. I am also aware of the under belly, the shadow side of the energy and on a challenging day, I will also visit those places where at times I am unaware of certain tendencies or patterns. If I can observe these polarities, I can step back enough to have compassion for the learning process my lower self experiences and have an excellent vantage point which allows me to aim for my higher nature and heal.

Astrology is the science and art of how energy and the elements work with time. My approach to astrology is to help create self-awareness for your journey. I do not practice predictive astrology, but rather look at the highest & lower influences, potentials and possibilities.

A natal chart reading will help you see where the planets were located in the heavens at the exact date and time of your birth. Our 12 month calendar is based on astrology as the sun moves through all twelve signs of the zodiac in a given year. The moon moves through all 12 signs in a month. Paying attention to the influences nature offers through these rhythms can help us to navigate through these difficult changing times.

Many cultures throughout time have used astrology to understand ailments and predispositions to certain tendencies. Carl Jung used astrology throughout his career as a therapist. If you are familiar with the elements of earth, water, fire and air within the chakra system, we can also look at your natal chart to determine which of these elements maybe predominate or lacking. 14-20 pages - this report shows the placement of planets for two people indicating potential harmonies or edges we need to work with. It is excellent for couples, parent and child or business relationships.

4-5 page color - Astro-cartography shows where your planetary influences run throughout the planet at the time of your birth. This is a great tool for relocation or looking at where it is best to travel.

Body & Soul report - $50 printed $35 if emailed

35-50 pages - This is a comprehensive medical astrology report. It covers what foods you may want to add or avoid, healing notes, pathological and karmic tendencies, susceptible areas of the body, cel salts, Homeopathic remedies and more. I do not recommend this as a first report as it is alot to digest. It is helpful if read in small bites. You may need additional follow up phone sessions to work with all this information.

This report shows the influence of the moving planets to your natal chart. It is a great report to keep handy and watch the cycles of aspects and influences that are personal to your chart.

Pluto in Capricorn

Pluto being the farthest planet from the sun changes signs once every 20 years or so. January of 2008 Pluto went into the sign of Capricorn, the first time is has been in this sign in over 248 years. The planet Saturn, with its need to create discipline and order, rules this sign. Capricorn is also about money and society. It also rules authority, both inner and outer. If we struggle to experience a sense of our own inner authority, autonomy and sense of integrity about how we create form and structure to our lives, we can easily project this on to others who we feel are oppressing us with their outer authority. It is often then perceived as the other having the power or rank.

Pluto, being an agent of transformational change, is now seeking to help us transform our relationship to this inner/outer dance so we can feel what area's in our live do we have jurisdiction over and what area's do we need to respect the authority of others. It requires a deep sense of reflection to find this balance and know we are not in a static process, but a dynamic alchemy of change. This inner/outer revolution is taking place on a planetary basis as well as a personal one. It is playing out in our government and our personal lives.

When we learn to find the balance between this inner and outer authority, we empower ourselves without making the other ''wrong" and we respect those who have their own power bases for the efforts they create to do things in their own way. We can create our own structures if we choose or we can learn to live with the structures others create in a respectful way. This harmony of acceptance is the foundation of world peace, it is being the change we wish to see in the world. It is finding our own unique contribution to the structures and forms which create our society, communities and government. It is working inside the box ( Saturn ) with enthusiasm that your participation without demands to re frame the entire structure for the benefit of the individual need. What is needed is honor, respect and participation. This is what our new president is embodying and asking of us. It is what Pluto is hoping to awaken in our lives as deep and profound transformational change for the betterment of our world.

Looking at your natal chart to see which house is ruled by Capricorn will help you more to understand what part of your life is most affected by this aspect.
